Thoughts and Insights on Assisted Suicide: Our Precious Last Days |

Because I came upon an article speaking of a new law in Illinois that permits assisted suicide (although now they are carefully calling it ‘assisted dying’ to make it sound nicer), I thought it was time to put a talk on CD that I made many years ago available for all online. The talk was called “The Hour of Our Death” and speaks of the precious sufferings at the end of our lives and how important they are for preparing us for eternity and for helping the world.
Today I recorded more thoughts…it was a supposed to be just a short talk to introduce the CD talk, but it became a talk of its own. I did not separate out the audio for the intro to the CD, so it is only a video, and the download is also a video. The Hour of our Death talk is only an audio talk since I made it before I began to make videos. I hope many will take time to listen to both talks.
Here is the more recent video on Our Precious Last Days (thoughts on assisted suicide)
The CD talk below (which is about an hour) called “The Hour of our Death”. It features three holy women: Elisabeth Leseur, St. Elizabeth of the Trinity and St. Therese, the Little Flower and the great sufferings they endured that brought great fruit in holiness and grace.

Thoughts on Our Last HoursLet us pray and do penance so that the evils of assisted suicide and euthanasia will be overcome by the power of the light of Christ in our world. He who suffered for us on the cross must enlighten the hearts of so many to see the goodness of embracing suffering with courage and love and trust. “Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.”
Remember to pray for a holy death for yourself and for your loved ones.
