Easter Joy: How the Resurrection Fills Us–and the World–With Joy |

Today we conclude the beautiful and joyful Easter Octave which began during the Holy Saturday Vigil. How great is the mystery we celebrate this week and all during the Easter Season! Are you full of joy? You should be, even if it is a quiet joy deep in your heart in the midst of the many challenges of life within your home and throughout the whole world. Jesus has conquered sin and death and through our Baptism given us our share in His victory.
Today I share with you a message I recorded a few days ago, in the midst of the Easter Octave. I speak of the joyful readings which the liturgy provides for us this week and also share some beautiful thoughts on the Resurrection from an old book on the Rosary I discovered recently. Let us be filled with the joy which knowing and loving our dear Risen Jesus should bring us now and until we see Him face to face in eternity.

Easter JoyMay God fill your heart with His joy, His peace and His love today and especially in the most difficult times of your life. The Resurrection came after the pain and suffering of the Cross, and God can plant His joy within us even as we bear the Cross with Him.
